Scientific gathering: Dangerous memories and reconciliation. Contextual thoughts on religion in a post-conflict society.
Organization: Dom omladine Belgrade, Centre for Interdisciplinary Religious Studies and Ex Libris under the aegis of the European Network for the Promotion of Literature and Books Traduki.
This gathering will be held in the Panel Hall of Dom omladine Belgrade from June 10th – 11th 2011, in a plenary form.
The papers presented at the conference will be published by The Center for Interdisciplinary Research of Religion (Novi Sad, Serbia) and Ex - Libris (Rijeka, Croatia), under sponsorship of the German organization Traduki.
About the conference: Is there a contextual theological/religious thinking in the Former-Yugoslavia countries as an anamnetic – critical interdisciplinary discourse which desires to explore the causes and effects of conflicts and to explain them in theological, philosophical, anthropological, and sociological ways, and thereby to give an indispensible theoretical contribution to the efforts to overcome similar conflicts in the future? How important is it that memory should be represented in religious discourse in the countries of the Former Yugoslavia and weighed down by the past and conflicts?
