RAZNO – ZArazno

Dom omladine, as one of the key places for culture and creativity for the young of Belgrade, opens its doors to a completely new program called Razno ZArazno. The art of recycling and the recycling of art.
Join us in exchanging good ideas, smiles, and ways to protect our environment from bad habits. Tickets to the events will be items for exchange and/or a good idea.

Razno ZArazno is anything you can think of, so join us and get to know your imagination!

This program was created by Ana Zarubica and Jelena Petosevic, and will from February 26th run once a month in Dom omladine Belgrade. The basic goal is to exchange, have fun, communicate, inspire, be creative and share ideas.

The consumer society unnecessarily accumulates items, clogs the living and ecological environment with its everlasting chase for something new. Art tries to give some ideas for the present situation by recycling items and giving them a new purpose and character. In the spirit of this idea, Dom omladine wished to gather people who will exchange experiences, ideas, the past for the present...
The old for one person is the new for another. Everyone who brings something they want to exchange will get a little space on an improvised stand where he or she can present what they want to exchange. Everything is welcome in this exchanging game: clothing, tools, books, knowledge, artworks, home supplies, sporting gear etc.
You can exchange items for items, ideas for ideas, or you can materialize the ideas you receive from someone by improvisation or participating in the applied and music workshop. Everything depends on your imagination!

Within the applied workshop, creative individuals can make new thing from old ones (from old clothes you can make new clothes, or other things like pillowcases, lamps, curtains etc.). Through basic tools and the help of old crafts that are slowly disappearing, but which will show you how to fix and take care of things, you can make items which are not valued by money.
The lack of money is compensated by craftsmanship, and new things that will make someone happy. In this workshop where everything is possible, we want to encourage people to “get infected” by good ideas, to create and learn. Our aim is to remind ourselves and others how beauty comes to being.  

Within the music workshop, participants will take turns on instruments they haven’t tried yet – music is created on items which become instruments on the spot.
Famous Belgrade artists will take part with performances depending on the moment and inspiration. We will pick the best artworks which will be awarded for the best work, as well as a possibility to hold a solo exhibition in Dom omladine for the most creative.
