“The exhibition “Telo 2” presents a logical sequel of last year’s project “Telo” where around 40 young artists participated. Again, this year, we will have over 30 young participants, as well as guests that work with video. The selector of the video works is the art historian Natasa Radojevic.
The project Telo is a very complex set of different experiences and artistic observations of the Figure (of Man). There is a constant need of artists to explain the context of time and the natural surrounding they exist in. A figure is something we all are or how others perceive us. This phenomenon is eternal, present in all the periods of our civilization. The topic is timeless in every society, even when it’s forbidden as a creative form of seeing Man. The works of students and other, mostly young, artists are individual, but they are connected by motifs and material, that alone represent the surrounding in which they were created.” (Professor Marko Ladjusic)
