The group Virvel was founded in 1999 in Belgrade. The members gained experience through years of playing in various Belgrade bands, but the highlight of their creativity was reached in Virvel.
Advance ticket price: 350 dinars; 450 dinars on the day of the concert.
In a short time, the band went from being an off project to releasing their first album (S/T - Rapanelli Records 2001) and holding numerous concerts. The media at the time, lacking a more appropriate term for the band’s music, defined it as post-rock or space-rock, with which the members never agreed, since the characterization was too exclusive.
The group continued with concert performances creating various types of music. After their single came out (Brzi svemir/Ian Fleming Rapanelli 2005), they released their second album in 2006 (Sa Dna - Rapanelli Records) which reached the top of all relevant annual charts. The year 2007 was very successful for Virvel. The band held a mini ex-Yu tour that had its highlight at the festival “Zedno Uho” in Zagreb, as well as great performances in Ljubljana, Maribor, Skopje…
